About Ghetto Gourmet

Ghetto Gourmet Foods was founded by Chef Dwayne. Chef D has a natural instinct for foods and distinctive flavors, which was discovered as early as childhood by his grandmother. Dwayne loved to help out in the kitchen growing up. He has a natural talent in the kitchen which prompted him to become classically trained as a Chef by attending New York Restaurant school in NY and Le Cordon Bleu in Oregon and he has since been dubbed the “Mad Scientist of Sauces AKA The Ghetto Gourmet Chef. Chef D has cooked most of his adult life working in various prestigious restaurants on the East Coast, and then making his way to the Northwest. 

The Original BBQ sauce was pretty much created by accident in or about 1996 when entertaining for family and friends. Chef D was preparing dinner and on the menu was BBQ Chicken. Chef D was playing around with spices and seasonings and when dinner was finally served every one raved about how good the sauce was and suggested that it should be marketed.. After a long thought process Chef D decided to try it and see what would happen but could not remember all of the ingredients used. After several attempts the sauce was recreated. The sauce was sampled in various local markets and abroad Our products can now be found in numerous meat markets and grocery stores as well as on the web. Since then he has developed several other delicious products. He tries to make all of Ghetto Gourmet Foods products with all natural ingredients as well as targeting health life style eating .We hope you will try them all and your tongue will be pleasantly teased with intense and delicious flavors of Ghetto Gourmet Foods.
